I am a Director of Applications Engineering living in Virginia Beach who has been working in software development for over 20 years across multiple industries including healthcare, defense, retail and technology industries. Although my primary job nowadays is managing large engineering sprint teams across various systems, I still stay involved with actual development. I also served in the Navy active duty for six years.
Mobile Fission is a way to expend some of my programming creativity and document some noteworthy projects. Staying involved in our actual development and tackling small projects on my own time allows me to to stay current with the latest technologies. This is also useful for finding new ways to utilize these technologies for the software platforms and companies I work with.
I currently work for Taylor Digital. Our company is building a service-oriented ecommerce architecture for various ecommerce models. Our focus is on systems that allow for the personalization of merchandise. Taylor Digital is part of Taylor which is one of the largest print companies in the United States.
